ESPN personality Amin Elhassan recently riled up the WWE community with his comments regarding the video posted by Kevin Owens’ wife showing their son reacting to his father winning the WWE Universal Championship on RAW this past Monday night.
Elhassan took to social media and posted a comment about the boy, who was shown to still be stunned and excited minutes after seeing his dad become the world champion of the RAW brand, a touching moment that for some reason inspired the ESPN personality to point out the obvious in an attempt to garner a couple of cheap laughs.
After seeing the video, Elhassan replied to a tweet linking to the video that read, “8-year-old son of WWE’s Kevin Owens was so overwhelmed about his dad winning title belt” with a tweet saying, “Until someone told him it was scripted.”
Of course, this incredibly ignorant tweet prompted a number of passionate responses from WWE Superstars and fans who were obviously bothered by the lack of sensitivity — and common sense — of the ESPN representative.
