LOUISVILLE, Ky. — This week, the NFCA debuted a new name and logo for its popular weekly educational podcast.
“The Dirt” NFCA Podcast, hosted each week by NFCA Director of Education and Program Development Joanna Lane, will continue to be the same podcast that has grown a loyal following over its first 52 episodes. The array of varied guests covering all levels and aspects of softball have generated nearly 12,700 plays and 2,300 hours listened to date.
The NFCA held a social media campaign to generate ideas for the new name. The winning selection provides a nod to both the surface the sport of softball is played on and the unique insight the podcast hopes to provide to listeners each week.
Wednesday’s podcast discussed the duties of a Director of Operations with LSU’s Quinlan Duhon and the University of Alabama’s Kate Harris. Next week’s episode is the first repeat guest, former college coach Jen Croneberger of JLynne Consulting, talking about how goal setting can sometimes set your team up for failure.
New episodes debut on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. ET at NFCA.org and on Apple iTunes. Podcasts will also soon be available for Android users via the Google Play store.
