Who among us has not, at some point or another, attempted to emulate Rachel McAdams?
No takers? Well, at least I can find comfort in the fact that I’m not the only one raising my hand right now, because Hilary Duff is right there with me. Yes, the Younger actress, who gave birth to daughter Banks Violet Bair in late October, just recreated McAdams’s soon-to-be-iconic photoshoot for Girls Girls Girls magazine — and posted her more relatable version to Instagram.

The original photo, shot by Claire Rothstein, featured the Mean Girls alum posing in Versace while breast pumping for her own baby boy, who was reportedly born in April (McAdams kept the details of her pregnancy completely under wraps). The image went viral, because I mean:
Duff’s version is less “dripping in Versace” and more “chaotic Saturday morning” — she swapped the plaid coat for a bomber jacket and McAdams’s slicked back hair for a shower cap. Rather than insert the breast pump between the cutouts in her silky Fleur du Mal bra, Duff held her breast-pump herself. “Am I doing this right?” she asked in the caption.
The actress has taken the candid approach when it comes to documenting motherhood on social media, recently sharing photos of herself breastfeeding Banks (as well as herself) during her holiday vacation in Mexico. Her daughter, whom she welcomed with boyfriend Matthew Koma, is her second child. She also has a son, 6-year-old Luca, with ex-husband Mike Comrie.
Let’s face it: Not everyone can always look as glamorous as McAdams does in her photo while breast pumping (not even McAdams herself), and it’s nice to get a frank look at the other side of things every once in awhile. We’d like to see more of both in 2019, please.
