Our colleagues at 20 Minutes report that OGC Nice are in talks with Bordeaux over the possible re-signing of French veteran central defender Paul Baysse.
Les Aiglons’ Sporting Director Julien Fournier spoke at length with the 31-year-old defender over the weekend, but there is no specific rush to get this deal concluded before today’s deadline as Nice could always sign him as part of the “Joker” domestic transfer window, which runs from tomorrow until the end of December and allows French clubs to make one domestic transfer.
Nice-Matin report that Baysse was considered as an option by OGC Nice, but the board eventually decided today after the impressive performances of Gautier Lloris and Andy Pelmard at Rennes on Sunday that the arrival of the 31-year-old on loan was not necessary.
