Ligue 1 vice-champions AS Monaco continue to lead the race to sign young central midfielder Jean-Eudes Aholou from Strasbourg, according to RMC, Le 10 Sport and L’Équipe.

A source told the former outfit that “things are advancing,” but Le 10 Sport claim that ASM face competition from Lyon (who are adjudged to have already had a bid worth less than €15m knocked back) and Premier League side Wolves, who are yet to make a formal offer.

Monaco’s initial offer, worth €10m, has also been rejected, but the Principality side remain in the driving seat to land the Aholou.
