AS Monaco’s teenage sensation Kylian Mbappé had a meeting with Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger on the 14th of June after the international friendly between France and England, that lasted for more than 3 hours, according to France Football.

Wenger sought to explain to Mbappé that a move to Arsenal would be the best possible choice he could make, citing how he had turned Thierry Henry into one of the greatest footballers in the 21st century, how Mbappé would be the new leader of Arsenal’s attack and how he could emulate his inspiration in doing so.

The report from the website edition of the French magazine claims that in the Mbappé family the person who is most heavily pushing the Monaco man towards Real Madrid is his mother, Fayza Lamari. France Football confirm that Mbappé met with Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez in recent weeks with the intention of signing the French international this summer.

Arsenal have not given up, according to the report, despite the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette. The window on Mbappé appears to be closing, but Arsenal have the financial capability to complete a deal, Nabil Djellit claims.

PSG continue to push, but are all three clubs’ efforts in vain? That would seem the most likely.
