Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille are considering making a January move for Algerian international and West Ham United attacking midfielder Sofiane Feghouli, but his participation in the African Cup of Nations could scupper a move, according to L’Équipe.

The 27 year old has been a target of manager Rudi Garcia’s for a long time, dating back to the player’s stint at Valencia.

Marseille representatives launched enquiries several weeks ago with the player’s entourage, with the player reportedly being targeted by other French clubs as well as a handful of Italian outfits.

His participation in the AFCON could however prevent Marseille from initiating a deal.
