There’s something so powerful about a lady in red. Kate Middleton stepped out in the Canadian territory of Yukon on Wednesday in another vibrant look that gave a nod to the country’s flag.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the MacBride Museum early Wednesday morning on their royal tour. Middleton looked stunning in a fitted, double-breasted CH Carolina Herrera red coat with a Peter Pan collar, pairing the look with dark pumps and holding on to a matching tartan scarf. The duchess pulled back her typically blown-out locks, showing off a stunning pair of drop earrings.

The couple learned about Yukon’s history at the MacBride Museum, and even sent the first ever telegraph tweet from the museum’s telegraph office. Prince William’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, had visited the office back in 1959.

Along with her husband Prince William, the royal was on hand at the museum’s telegraph office to send the first ever telegraph to Twitter. “THE DUKE AND DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE, SEPTEMBER 2016, WHITEHORSE YUKON,” the historic message read.

The visit was meaningful in more ways than one: Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh visited the same telegraph office back in 1959.

The duke and duchess had a blast during story time with local children, where they learned more about the vibrant territory.

The couple also sat in on story time with local children at the museum, learning about the territory’s history, and greeted residents at a street party outside. “That is definitely the best way to be dressed today,” Prince William told an adorably bundled 5-month-old on the chilly day.
