Version 2.0.0 of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now and brings with it the addition of Piranha Plant to the roster.

The patch notes, which can be read here, confirm that Piranha Plant is now available to those who purchase or have purchased Super Smash Bros. Ultimate by this Thursday, January 31.

Speaking of which, if you have purchased Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or plan to before Thursday, be sure to redeem your code given to you by Nintendo to unlock Piranha Plant for free. Players can redeem the code through June 2019, but the offer for the code ends this Thursday.

The update also adjusts many of the fighters moves, and a full list of changes can be viewed here.

In addition, the Spirit Board can now be played with up to four players. However, if any player is KO’d you will lose the fight.

Version 2.0.0 and the addition of Piranha Plant should only further strengthen this game that was the best-selling game of December 2018 and set the new launch month sales record for a console exclusive.
