Fragments from the eighth century Quran that contains hidden passages from the Bible is up for auction, the Daily Mail reported.

It is the only palimpsest “in which the Qur’an has been written over a Christian text”, the report said.

The original Bible is believed to have been inscribed by Coptic community in Egypt and this was way before the Islamic holy book Quran was written over it in the eighth century AD during the time of Arab conquest.
