A massive search and combing operation are underway in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district where five terrorists and as many security personnel were killed after a 48-hour long gun battle.

Three Army personnel and two Jammu and Kashmir policemen were martyred in the encounter with the terrorists in Halmatpora.

Five unidentified terrorists were also gunned down by the forces during the operation which began on Tuesday after the forces received information on the movement of some seven foreign terrorists.
