Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle beat Polish champion during the last round. MVP was Piotr Gacek.

The 3d round was inaugurated by a great hit. Resovia Rzeszow came to Kedzierzyn-Kozle. Maybe it wasn’t really championship level of the game, but it was certainly full of emotions. Resovia showed that it’s not their best shape, but the players of Zaksa had a good time. Especially Antonin Rouzier (21 points) and Felipe Fonteles, who is proving his best skills at the beginning of this new season (16 points). Head coach of Resovia, Andrzej Kowal, had some troubles with finding a solution for inability to face Zaksa. Finally, guests won 3:1 and they were very happy about keeping three points at home.

Jastrzebski Wegiel, after a quite shame of loosing with AZS Warszawa, needed to prove to themselves many different things. They stood against Trefl Gdansk this time. Currently, Trefl is on the last place in ranking. Jastrzebie had no problems with beating his opponent, although Trefl broke the barrier of 20 points in every set. It was a good game of Patryk Czarnowski (with 12 points and 86% of efficiency), middle blocker from Jastrzebie. On the other site, Mateusz Mika scored 13 points and had 68%. Michal Lasko, the capitan of the hosts, said later on: “This game was extremely important for all of us, after this failure with Warsaw. Now we are thinking about the next challenge.“, Lorenzo Bernardi added: “I’m sure we can play better and this match brought us one step closer to this goal”.

Effector Kielce won with AZS Czestochowa. Young team of Marek Kardos have not collected any points yet. Moreover, they didn’t managed to win even one set so far. Every part of this game was settled by a minimal advantage of Kielce. Czestochowa also lost Dawid Murek, who left the court with paint in his calf. Effector won the first game this season and for now they have 3 points.

The last game of this weekend was in Bydgoszcz. AZS Warszawa made another surprise. After winning with Jastrzebski Wegiel, they beat another favorite – Delecta Bydgoszcz lost at home 1:3. Warsaw easily won the first and the second part. Delecta woke up for the third set and it may seemed like they could bring tie break, but in the end, AZS did their best and saved stake of 3 points.
