It wasn’t too long ago that WWE confirmed that a batch of NXT wrestlers would be joining the main roster. WWW announced that Lacey Evans, EC3, Heavy Machinery, Nikki Cross, and Lars Sullivan would be starting their main roster runs soon. Although Sullivan still has yet to debut, each of those individuals have begun appearing on WWE shows over the past few weeks. Although it has been great to see those NXT standouts arrive on Raw and SmackDown, even more stars from the developmental brand are officially on the way. Prior to tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE announced that Aleister Black, Ricochet, and Johnny Gargano, and Tommaso Ciampa are all officiially being called up to the main roster effective tonight.

Before Raw even began, WWE posted a message on their social media platforms informing fans that the NXT competitors were backstage at the site of tonight’s show. The company even uploaded photos of the wrestlers interacting with current Raw Superstars. Afterwards, Triple H came down to the ring to start the show off before confirming that these individuals are indeed being called up. Triple H was sure to mention that Ricochet, Black, Gargano, and Ciampa are the ones being promoted. Triple H did not mention what the wrestlers will be doing during their first night on Raw, but he did reveal that they will all be in action during tonight’s show. What makes these call-ups so interesting is that these four names are some of the biggest names on the NXT roster at the moment. Gargano is currrently the North American Champion and Ciampa is the NXT Champion. Ricochet and Black had held those respective titles in the past as well. This move does appear to be a permanent call-up rather than a one-off given the vernacular that Triple H used during his promo. Fortunately, the NXT roster is stacked with talent at the moment and still has plenty of wrestlers left to carry the brand, and it’s also likely that Ciampa and Gargano will continue to wr style for NXT until they lose their titles. Fans have been looking forward to seeing these four stars compete on Raw for years now and they will finally get their wish tonight.
