UNION VALE, NY — At least two people were killed and another is still unaccounted for after a small plane carrying three people crashed into a Union Vale home around 4:15 p.m. Saturday. Two people on the plane survived the crash.
The home contained three people, according to a Poughkeepsie Journal report: one person inside was killed, another was severely injured and the third remains missing.
The home on South Smith Road, about 15 miles east of Poughkeepsie, was fully engulfed in the flames after the crash. Three dogs inside the home were able to escape, PIX 11 reported.
