As reported earlier, Becky Lynch was able to win the second-ever women’s Royal Rumble match during the pay-per-view of the same name last night. Later on that evening, a second Royal Rumble match took place to determine which man will go on to face either the Universal Champion or WWE Champion during WrestleMania 35. 29 men and 1 woman all thought that they had what it took, but in the end, one Raw Superstar was able to punch his ticket to WrestleMania. None other than former WWE Champion Seth Rollins was the lucky man who walked out of Chase Field in Phoenix with the win. He eliminated returning Raw Superstar Braun Strowman last in order to earn the monumental victory.

Seth Rollins entered the match at the #10 spot, which makes him the first person to ever win a Royal Rumble match with that number. Rollins certainly had the deck stacked against him as he faced off against a ton of talented WWE Superstars. At one point, it even looked like Rollins was done for after Bobby Lashley pulled him under the bottom rope and attacked him. He even put him through the announcer’s table after “The Kingslayer” eliminated him from the match. Eventually, Rollins recovered and made his way back into the ring to continue the match. In addition to Lashley, Rollins also tossed out Dolph Ziggler before later eliminating Strowman following some back and fourth action to win the match.

This is the first time ever that Seth Rollins has won a Royal Rumble match since joining WWE. If Daniel Bryan and Brock Lesnar are able to hold onto their titles between now and April, Rollins will choose between one of those men to face at WrestleMania 35 now. Rollins has teased going after Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship before, but there is no denying that Rollins and Bryan fighting for the WWE Championship wouldn’t tear the house down during WrestleMania this year. “The Architect” has until this April to make his decision, and there is still plenty of time for the world titles to change hands as well. Get ready to see Seth Rollins burn the MetLife Stadium down when he visits New Jersey for WrestleMania 35 in the spring.
