While details are still sparse, it seems that The Undertaker will soon be appearing in a WWE ring once again.
The Mohegan Sun arena in Wilkes-Barre, PA announced on their social media accounts on Wednesday that Undertaker would be returning on November 15th for the 900th episode of SmackDown. No indication was given as to what Undertaker would be doing during the appearance.
Mystery has seemed to surround Undertaker since he last appeared on WWE television at WrestleMania 32 in a victory over Shane McMahon in a Hell in a Cell match. Dave Meltzer has reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Undertaker told everyone after that match that it was his last, but nothing has been officially announced by Undertaker or WWE. Photos of him on crutches also went around the internet, and Meltzer reported that Undertaker had recently underwent hip surgery.
But Undertaker made an appearance in full wrestling attire in the Cleveland Cavaliers locker room last week. Cavs star LeBron James had worn an Undertaker shirt during the team’s run to the title last season, and Undertaker joined them to celebrate their ring ceremony as this season kicked off.
