Yet another sign that the Broken Universe is drawing nearer and nearer to WWE has been revealed. After weeks of shifting between gimmicks on Twitter, Matt has started writing as his “broken” character again. Hardy wrote the following on his Twitter page earlier this morning:

The CELESTIAL VOICES have told me the GENESIS of my Modern Testament nears.
My VESSEL will be blessed if I push it to unseen parameters.

Matt Hardy has been all but removed from the character that made him famous last year since returning to WWE earlier this month. Impact Wrestling has been claiming ownership of the character and the entire universe that was created with it. When the Hardys were first brought back to WWE, Vince McMahon reportedly did not like the character and did not want to use it, but changed his tune after his audiences were chanting “delete” and “Brother Nero” at his events. Jeff Hardy has completely abandoned his “Brother Nero” character since returning. This has led to rumors that Hardy is in line to be a top star on his own.
Reby Hardy has since responded to a fan asking if WWE has purchased the rights to the “Broken” characters. She responded by saying:

It could be possible that WWE did not have to purchase the characters, and the Hardys were able to prove the characters as being their own creation. In any case, Matt’s constant teasing of the character, as well as him playing up the character more on television could spell the return of “Broken” Matt Hardy. The Hardys will face Sheamus and Cesaro at Payback, and many fans have commented that the brothers winning the Tag Titles and completing their “Expedition of Gold” was what led to Matt being restored to normal. Should the Hardys lose the belts, we could see the “Broken” Universe in WWE as early as this Sunday night.
