— According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the approximate attendance for WWE Super ShowDown at the King Abdullah Sports Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia was 21,000 and nowhere close to a sell-out. By comparison, last year’s “Greatest Royal Rumble” at the same venue reportedly drew closer to 60,000 fans. Even Google searches of 100,000 for the show were way below other PPVs and only 10% of what UFC did the next day. The show running on a Friday afternoon likely contributed to a lack of interest.

— The audience itself was described as being “flat” and WWE was said to be extremely popular with young kids in the country, much more than in North America. Regardless of the lacklustre attendance figures, the live gate doesn’t matter at all for the event as WWE was already going to profit in the neighborhood of $40 million for just this one show.
