Starz has unveiled the full trailer for American Gods Season 2, which finally hits our screens on Sunday, March 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The first season concluded back in June 2017, so Mr. Wednesday and Shadow Moon’s much-anticipated return is a blessing indeed. Watch the new trailer above.

Here’s Starz’s description of the new season: “We were forged in God’s image, but the Gods are also made in ours — and in Season 2 the battle moves inexorably toward crisis point as the destinies of gods and men collide. While Mr. World plots revenge for the attack against him in Season 1, Shadow throws in his lot with Wednesday’s attempt to convince the Old Gods of the case for full-out war, with Laura and Mad Sweeney in tow. A council at the House on the Rock explodes into chaos, sending deities both Old and New on quests across America that will converge on Cairo, Illinois forcing Shadow to carve out a place as a believer in this strange new world of living gods — a dark world where change demands commitment, and faith requires terrible sacrifice.”

The show is taking its time in adapting Neil Gaiman’s beloved novel and fleshing out the backstories of the characters — at New York Comic Con we learned that Season 2 won’t adapt the events in the town of Lakeside, but Gaiman did promise, “we do get to Cairo, we do get to a funeral home… Laura and Mad Sweeney get to go on their own journey, which takes them to some very hot and exotic places, and other than that, I think it’s fair to say things get worse for everybody in dramatically interesting fashion.”

New cast members for Season 2 include Sakina Jaffrey (House of Cards, The Blacklist) as Mama-Ji, Dean Winters (Divorce, Law & Order: SVU) as Mr. Town, Devery Jacobs (Cardinal, The Order) as Sam Black Crow, and Kahyun Kim (Adam Ruins Everything, Shameless) as New Media.
