WWE has spent months teasing the end of the friendship between Sasha Banks and Bayley. Although the two of them finally reached their breaking points a few weeks ago, neither of them are scheduled to compete at Extreme Rules tonight. Per a report from Cageside Seats, that is because the two of them will finally be having their match at SummerSlam in August. That same report has noted that the match will be promoted as one of the featured bouts of the evening, and the two of them will also be given a great deal of time to have a match and tell their story in the ring. The match will be taking place in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center three years after the two of them fought in the same building during the first NXT Takeover: Brooklyn event.
Mae Young Classic participants have been made official over the past few days, and although the tournament will feature some incredible female athletes, fans have been disappointed that Chelsea Green has not been announced for the tournament yet. Despite having a WWE tryout recently, Wrestling Inc. has reported that the former Impact Wrestling and Tough Enough star has still not been offered any sort of deal by the company. In fact, Green has not even been contacted about possibly competing in the Mae Young Classic tournament. Given that just 6 of the 32 participants have been announced so far, it is still possible that Green could be involved in the show before it begins this August.
Plenty of celebrities have transitioned or made appearances in the world of wrestling over the years. For instance, actor David Arquette became a world champion in WCW, and he even returned to the ring earlier this year, but another celebrity is now getting herself involved in the pro wrestling business. World Class Revolution Pro Wrestling has just announced that singer and reality television star Farrah Abraham will be joining the promotion. Abraham is famous for being featured on the MTV series “Teen Mom” from 2009-2012. Abraham’s exact role on the shows is unknown at the moment, but more information on the start of her journey into the wrestling industry should be arriving shortly.
“We couldn’t be happier to welcome Farrah into our family. Farrah brings a lot of creativity to the table and I can’t wait to see all of the amazing work we are going to do together as a team. I would like to personally thank both Farrah & her agent Ricarte for this opportunity.” pic.twitter.com/AA601k1b3e
