The main event of WWE’sĀ Battleground PPV will remain a three-way match for the WWE Title.
Dean Ambrose will defend against Seth Rollins and the suspended Roman Reigns in a three-way match after WWE teased adding new participants on Monday’s Raw.
The set-up was John Cena and A.J. Styles having the chance to be added to the title match of they beat Rollins and Ambrose, respectively.
Instead, Styles and The Club contributed to Cena losing to Rollins, then Cena contributed to Styles losing to Ambrose in the TV main event.
Unrelated to the Big Two matches, WWE also set up Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn in a “final battle” of sorts at the Battleground PPV.
