State champion Colten Carlson of Willmar has signed with South Dakota State for next season. He is a three-time state placer and a five-time state entrant for the Cardinals.

He won the 160-pound Class AAA state championship this season as a senior. He placed fourth at 152 pounds as a junior and was runner-up at 152 pounds as a freshman.

Carlson is projected to wrestle at 157 or 165 pounds for the Jackrabbits.
