Smackdown, 205 Live and Mixed Match Challenge will be taped on Tuesday in Denver. Announced so far is Hideo Itami vs. Mustafa Ali, Bobby Lashley & Mickie James vs. Jinder Mahal & Alicia Fox and Miz & Asuka vs. R-Truth & Carmella. Smackdown will also have a contract signing for the A.J. Styles vs. Samoa Joe match in Melbourne.

For what it’s worth, Turki Al-Sheikh, the Chairman of the General Sports Authority in Saudi Arabia today tweeted a photo of Hulk Hogan. That would seem to indicate Hogan being on that 11/2 Crown Jewel show for his return to WWE in front of the camera, but nothing has been said officially on that.

An interview getting a lot of talk today, for obvious reasons, is Jon Jones’ manager Malki Kawa on the MMA Hour talking about the Jones suspension and USADA punishment. Karim Zidan also explains Conor McGregor’s comments regarding Khabib Nurmagomedov on the show. Kawa talked about Jones wanting a match with Daniel Cormier, but also the possibility of his first match back being against Alexander Gustafsson.
Still nothing on the full lineup for Sunday’s New Japan Long Beach show. One would think the announcement of that and the 10/8 King of Pro Wrestling show to be tonight, although we were only told yesterday it would be within 48 hours.
CMLL will be live streaming tonight’s Puebla show on the CMLL YouTube channel with L.A. Park & El Hijo de L.A. Park vs. Rush & Cavernario starting at 10 p.m. Eastern. Last week’s show drew a complete sellout with Park’s return after more than a decade, to set up the tag match this week.
WWE stock closed today at $92.47 per share. The company is now worth $7.2 billion.
MLW announced a 4/4 date at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, NY, which is a TV taping on the Thursday before WrestleMania and two nights before the New Japan/ROH show. It already was, but this adds to what is the biggest week in one city for pro wrestling ever in the U.S. Court Bauer said they will have a huge main event and has announced the guys they have under contract or long-term agreements to be there like Low Ki, L.A. Park, Pentagon Jr., Fenix, Konnan, Tom Lawlor, MJF, Salina de la Renta and Tony Schiavone. There will be meet and greets and tickets start at only $20.
WWE
The Shield will do a promo to open the show, which should build to their six-man in Australia against Braun Strowman & Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre. Tonight’s show should heavily push Australia and to a lesser extent push the women’s Evolution show and the Saudi Arabia show.
Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that WWE is filming a pilot for a Woken Matt network show which would be him in character for a Halloween special most likely. They reported a filming date in early October.
Rob Conway is a guest coach at the Performance Center this week. Conway is still competing these days in bodybuilding.
Here is the official trailer for “Bumblebee” which comes out on 12/21. John Cena is shown a few times, but it’s clear here that Hailee Steinfeld, and of course the car/robot, are the stars of it. (thanks to Shannon Walsh)
UFC
UFC announced Miesha Tate will be announcing the 10/5 Quintet submission grappling show from Las Vegas. They are following the pro wrestling lead of doing shows the night before the big events. The Quintet show is already advertising that Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Urijah Faber will start for each team, meaning that unique match-up of Hall of Famers is a lock to take place on that show.
Megan Olivi of UFC made her debut as a sideline reporter for the NFL on FOX yesterday.

Black Label Pro resutls from Saturday night in Crown Point, IN: Tom Lawlor b Jake Parnell, Kevin Ku won over Rory Fox, Allie Kat, Clayton Gainz and PB Smooth, Kobe Durst won three-way over Dominic Garrini and Jeremy Wyatt, PCO b Josh Briggs, Brian Pillman Jr. won four-way over Josh Bishop, Andrew Everett and Zachary Wentz, Marko Stunt b Swoggle, Space Pirates won over No New Friends and The Production, Kobe Durst won six-way for the Darkest Timeline championship over Tom Lawlor, Brian Pillman Jr., Kevin Ku Marko Stunt and PCO. It came down to Durst vs. Lawlor and was said to be very good. Stunt won to set up a match with Bryan Alvarez. Crowd really enjoyed the Stung match which included him jumping off the balcony and doing a moonsault and the Pillman and Lawlor matches were said to both be good as well. (thanks to David Gould)

Wrestling returns to Cobo Hall on 10/13 in Detroit with DBA vs. MM3 Jimmy Jacobs vs. Jaimy Coxx plus Ultimo Dragon, Simon Grimm, Michael Elgin, Dave & Jake Crist, Homicide, Hernandez, Kongo Kong and James Ellsworth plus a 20 man Battle Royal.
