Over the years, the Ewoks have been written off as silly and inconsequential, but a solid story about the adorable heroes could be fun as a live-action or animated series. While Disney is already looking into rebooting the movie along with some of their other classic family films like The Parent Trap (1998) and Father of the Bride (1991) it would be exciting to revisit the Szalinski family in a new live-action comedy series instead (like Malcolm in the Middle, but miniaturized!). From 1992-1996, Sean Patrick Flanery played the younger version of the titular hero in a fun action-adventure series that explored Indiana Jones during his youth. The late River Phoenix also played Indy in the opening of The Last Crusade movie. One of the reasons the original series was canceled was due to its large budget, but that was long before the days of Game of Thrones and The Crown. Disney XD has already explored the Tron universe further with their animated series, Tron: Uprising, which took place between the first two films.
