Fortnite has begun teasing its seventh season, which begins in three days, with a warning that “a bitter ice spreads…”
Announced on Twitter, the ominous message is accompanied by an image of some mysterious icy figure that may hint at a potential skin in the upcoming Battle Pass or something else entirely.
Even though this is our first official tease, there have already been certain leaks that may or may not indicate future events, including one involving Tilted Towers.
What also remains to be seen is if season seven will explain more about the one-time event that sent all players to a strange void and had them interacting with a butterfly made of rifts.
Fortnite, which now has more than 200 million players, is currently in its sixth season which features a spooky theme and included a mode called Fortnitemares that saw monsters spawn out of cube fragments and threaten all players.
While season seven looks to have a winter/holiday theme to it, Fortnite has already gotten in the giving spirit with its test of the long-requested feature of sending gifts to friends, which may see its full release in the upcoming season.
As with previous seasons, we should be getting more teases throughout the next couple days, so stay tuned to IGN and finish up those Battle Pass challenges, because only a few days remain.
