L’Équipe report that German side Gladbach have formally opened negotiations with Ligue 1 side Angers for 26-year-old French attacker Flavien Tait.

Soliciting interest from Rennes, St Étienne and Celta Vigo, it is the Bundesliga club who are in pole position to land the player, who are qualified for the Europa League group stage.

If negotiations are concluded successfully, a condition of the deal could see the arrangement of a friendly fixture between the two clubs at the end of July.
