Kerala is recovering from what has been the worst flood in the last century. As the state tries to recover from the torrential downpour that ravaged lakhs of homes, the airport has slowly become operational, and even the educational institutes are re-opening for students. According to Education Minister, Prof C Raveedranath, at least 650 odd schools were affected by floods in Kerala.

Schools and colleges in Kerala re-opened today, a fortnight after the devastating deluge ravaged the state and the teachers staged a warm welcome for children by singing songs.
