Speaking after Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-0 victory over Marseille in Le Classique, Kylian Mbappé (23) spoke about the controversy surrounding the club and over his future, which was called into question last week. 

According to multiple reports, Mbappé, despite only signing a contract extension in the summer, is unhappy at the Parc des Princes and is looking to leave the Ligue 1 champions. As well as denying reports of his impending departure, Mbappé also spoke about dealing with the off-pitch controversy.

In a post-match interview, transcribed by Culture PSG, he said, “You know what you’re getting yourself into when you play for PSG, both good and bad. You have to be ready. Everyone who comes here knows that, we warn them. At the minute, there is a lot going around, but we are only focused on the task of winning matches and titles.”

Asked if he had met with the club’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Mbappé replied, “I haven’t seen him [in the past days]. I saw him before the match [on Sunday] and he wished us good luck for the match, and we won today.”
