Wagner (25-2) struck out six, did not walk a batter and allowed just one Florida runner to reach third base. She has now held the Gators scoreless over the last 10.1 innings, and even more impressive shut out Florida for the first time this season. The last time the Gators did not score a run was a 2-0 loss to Georgia on May 8, 2014 in the SEC Tournament (76 games).

Wagner’s counterpart in the circle, Lauren Haeger (31-2), did not disappoint. She held the high-powered Michigan offense to just four hits with one strikeout and one walk in a complete game effort.

An RBI single by Kelsey Susalla in the bottom of the first was the only run the Wolverines would need as Michigan was held to just four hits on the evening. Two of those came off the bat of Sierra Lawrence, who was 2-for-3 with a double and run scored.

Of the six Gator hits, Haeger recorded two of them.
