WWE has officially confirmed reports from both Fightful.com and PWInsider.com, removing Mustafa Ali from this Sunday’s six-man Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship.

While the company did not specify the 32-year-old Superstar’s injuries, reports indiate that he may have suffered a concussion on top of a badly swollen eye from his match last Tuesday night, in addition to being banged up over the past few weeks.

It was announced that a member of the New Day would replace Ali in the match, which was later revealed to be none other than Kofi Kingston, who was forced to start an hour-long guantlet match from the #1 position on Smackdown Live in order to determine which Superstar will have the ultimate advantage going into this Sunday’s big event.
