— Kambi, the leader oddsmaker for pro wresting, has listed NXT’s show on USA as having the higher odds for winning the ratings battle against AEW on TNT. NXT will get a head start by a couple of weeks and is expected to be promoted heavily on Monday’s Raw, whereas TNT is expected to briefly mention AEW on their sports programming and possibly commercials during their other shows.
— With WWE announcing that NXT will air live from Full Sail University beginning September 18 all the way through December 18, it’s obvious the company has no plans on moving away from their 400-seat arena just yet. If AEW viewership falls short of expectations, it is likely that WWE will keep NXT at Full Sail indefinitely. However, if NXT lags behind AEW, there will be “changes galore” according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Location and injecting the brand with main roster talent are likely at the forefront of any changes and “eliminating showcase matches” would be another.
