Despite being moved over to SmackDown last week in the Superstar Shakeup, Roman Reigns announced on Twitter yesterday that he will be appearing on Raw this Monday night. WWE sent out a tweet later that day denying that Reigns would be returning to the program, but “The Big Dog” continues to claim otherwise. Reigns took to Twitter to respond to WWE’s statement earlier today. Reigns says that he will not only be coming to Raw tomorrow, but he also says that he will be kicking off the program. Universal Champion Seth Rollins sent out a tweet welcoming Reigns back to Raw. As of right now, there is no confirmation on what Roman Reigns will be doing when he returns to Raw this Monday night.

All Elite Wrestling’s Double or Nothing show will be taking place in a couple of weeks now, but there are still a few more adjustments being made to the card. The battle royal in particular is receiving a ton of new entrants with each passing week. According to fans in attendance during the Southern Honor Wrestling indie show in Georgia over the weekend, Cody Rhodes announced that Dustin Thomas will also be taking part in the battle royal. Thomas is a bilateral amputee who has been competing on the indie scene and has impressed fans by executing 450 splashes and submission maneuvers despite his disabilities. This is just the latest development that AEW has made towards becoming a more inclusive wrestling promotion.

The ratings for Raw and SmackDown have continued to drag down with each passing week. On Wrestling Observer Radio this past weekend, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE’s poor ratings have not gone unnoticed within the television industry. According to Meltzer, the ratings for wrestling shows has changed so much within the past year that television executives regard the wrestling as being “cold” at the moment. It was noted that the genre isn’t considered a failure yet, but the lower ratings have definitely captured the attention of those in charge. WWE is still set to move SmackDown over to Fox starting in October, and there are rumors that All Elite Wrestling is close to securing a deal with a major television network.
