A United States Championship match has been made official for Money in the Bank.

During this week’s episode of Raw, it was announced that Samoa Joe will defend his United States title against Rey Mysterio at Money in the Bank. The pay-per-view is taking place at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut on May 19.

Joe vs. Mysterio was also the U.S. title match at WrestleMania 35. Their match was a minute long, with Joe choking Mysterio out with the Coquina Clutch. Mysterio pinned Joe in a non-title match on last week’s Raw.

Mysterio celebrated with his son Dominick after winning last week’s match. Tonight, there was a backstage segment where Joe confronted Dominick. Joe accused Dominick of trying to embarrass and humiliate him last week. Joe told Dominick to send a message to Mysterio, with Joe saying he’s looking forward to defending his title against Mysterio at Money in the Bank.
