Sharing a tweet from comedian and co-host of “The View,” Cruz implored his “#CruzCrew” to stop O’Donnell and other liberals from turning Texas into a blue state.
In his message, Cruz rips “out of touch liberals” from “across the US” for trying to influence Texas’ election.

The tweet shared by O’Donnell announced her maxed-out donation for Cruz’ Democratic challenger, Rep. Beto O’Rourke.
In a subsequent tweet, Cruz asked for $5 dollar donations to counter O’Rourke’s growing army of small-dollar donors.

In March, O’Rourke announced his bid to unseat Cruz in 2018 with a campaign focused around small donors. He quickly received an endorsement from The Progressive Change Campaign, which represents 1 million members and nearly 50,000 just in Texas.
Cruz’s campaign says O’Rourke is supported by members “of the mainstream media and a Washington establishment willing to do everything in their power to see Ted Cruz defeated.”
The Texas senator is the second prominent Republican to retweet O’Donnell this month. On Thursday, facing criticism for firing James Comey, President Trump retweeted a months-old call from her for former President Obama to oust the FBI director.
“We finally agree on something Rosie,” Trump said.
O’Donnell responded that Trump appeared to have “seriously declining mental health.”
