Reigning champions South Sydney Rabbitohs were taking on the Manly Sea Eagles, when Manly’s Steve Matai went into demolition mode.

The Rabbitohs’ Dave Tyrrell took on a crash ball up the middle, but seemed very casual with the whole process, jogging onto the ball.

He also failed to look up, as Manly’s Matai came flying in from his right, completely blindsighting Tyrrell, who was blissfully unaware of the freight train he was about to be hit by.

When Matai connected with the tackle, it was like something from a cartoon, as he bulldozed through his opponent, who lay conscious but motionless on the ground from the sheer force of the hit.

However, it wouldn’t be half as good without the hollering and yelping from the commentators, as well as the massive crunching of the bodies as they collide.

Moral of the story? Heads-up rugby. Always play heads-up rugby.
