The Simpsons has been renewed for Seasons 31 and 32, extending its record as television’s longest-running scripted primetime show.
According to Fox, by the time the animated comedy’s 32nd season concludes, The Simpsons will have aired 713 episodes.
The series is currently in the middle of its 30th season, which features guest appearances from Guillermo del Toro, Will Forte, J.K. Simmons, Awkwafina, and Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos.
In addition to producing two more seasons, Fox is reportedly developing a second movie based on The Simpsons. The 2007 original made over $500 million USD at the worldwide box office, according to Box Office Mojo.
