Buddy Murphy and Cedric Alexander got things started at this weekend’s WWE TLC Kickoff Show in a battle for the Cruiserweight Championship. The two 205 Live rivals wrestled an excellent bout, with the Australian champion ultimately retaining, much to the chagrin of the sold-out crowd in San Jose, CA.
This month’s Kickoff Show actually featured TWO matches, as Elias and the “Almighty” Bobby Lashley did battle in a Ladder Match, with a custom Fender acoustic guitar hanging high above the ring. Despite a ridiculous amount of interference from Lio Rush throughout the bout, The Drifter stood tall retreiving the guitar to win the match. However, it was Lashley who ultimately strummed the final chord, smashing said guitar over his opponent’s back following their performance.
