Drew McIntyre’s next challenger was decided on last night’s episode of Raw.

AJ Styles won a triple threat number one contender’s match on Raw last night and will challenge for McIntyre’s WWE Championship at TLC on Sunday, December 20. Styles defeated Riddle and Keith Lee in the number one contender’s match.

Styles got the win by pinning Riddle after hitting the Phenomenal Forearm.

After his win, The Miz and John Morrison approached Styles backstage and wanted him to help Miz cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on McIntyre. Styles agreed to help them, saying it would be a lot easier to defeat The Miz at TLC instead of McIntyre.

Styles did commentary for last night’s McIntyre & Sheamus vs. Miz & Morrison main event. He interfered in the match and caused it to end in a disqualification by hitting a Phenomenal Forearm on McIntyre. Morrison hit Starship Pain on McIntyre and Miz gave him the Skull Crushing Finale, but an argument between Miz and Styles delayed Miz’s attempt to cash in. McIntyre sent Morrison out of the ring and laid out Miz with the Claymore.

McIntyre was about to go face-to-face with Styles at the end of the show, but Styles backed off and was carried away by his associate Omos. McIntyre and Styles exchanged words as the show went off the air.
