The Raw after WrestleMania 37 was headlined by a triple threat number one contender’s match.
Drew McIntyre defeated Randy Orton and Braun Strowman in last night’s main event and will challenge for Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship at WrestleMania Backlash next month. McIntyre is getting another shot at Lashley after losing to him at WrestleMania night one.
MVP came out to the stage after McIntyre won the triple threat match. As McIntyre was focused on MVP, former RETRIBUTION members T-Bar and Mace ambushed McIntyre and laid him out with a double chokeslam.
A couple of returns also took place last night. Charlotte Flair made her return to WWE television, while The Viking Raiders were back in action. Charlotte cut a promo and then interrupted Rhea Ripley and Asuka’s Raw Women’s Championship WrestleMania rematch. During her promo, Charlotte said missing WrestleMania made her realize that she doesn’t steal opportunities — she is the opportunity.
The Viking Raiders defeated Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander on last night’s show.
After costing “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt his match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania night two, Alexa Bliss explained that she realized she didn’t need The Fiend and could do everything on her own. Bliss said she unlocked something truly evil. She introduced a doll that she called her new friend Lily.
Wyatt hosted the return of the Firefly Fun House last night, claiming that he feels reborn without Bliss around. Wyatt said everything will be fine and “he” will return.
